Building the team, from first interview to first deploy

I've hired 10+ engineers, from full-time employees to outsourced engineers working in the team itself. I designed the interview process alongside the CTO and Deputy Head of Engineering, with a pre-interview technical screen and interactive coding exercises, and I've reshaped how new starters get up to speed as the tools changed.

• Candidates were judged on real code, through the technical screen and a live coding exercise.
• New starters could largely onboard themselves from AI-explained documentation.
• Redundancies and performance cases followed a process I helped shape, rather than being handled ad hoc.
